Our family split up between the climbing wall and the higher ground group swing. The 'swing' was basically a 50' rope hung between two 65' poles where you got pulled up as far as you could get on one side. Then you pulled a level and released the tow rope and you fell for a half second before you started to swing down and up to the other side. After a few back and forths you grabbed a rope on the ground and a staff member pulled you to a stop. It was a lot of fun! Katy and Ian did the climbing wall with Darcy, while I did the swing with Max, Sam, Lily and Rogan.

Back to school!
Another summer is behind us and the kids are headed back to school. This is Sam's second year at Shuswap Middle School, in grade 7. Ian, Katy and Max are in grades 2, 3 and 5 at Bastion with Mr. Styles, Mr. Caner and Madame DuClos. For our first day, Sam rode his bike with me, and then I rode back to meet up with Darcy and the other kids on their bikes. It is crazy to us how many people drive to school when they live so close!
