Happy New Years'!

Ro and Sam had their hearts set on seeing the New Year in, and despite going to bed at 8pm they kept awake chatting about their first song and album for their band 'Stripes' to come in 2014.  At 11:50pm they appeared from the basement so we hit them with some bubbly juice and let them join us.  We had about 20 adults over for some fondue, so it was a great way to greet 2014 in our new home!

Sam had practice today at Larch Hills, so we took pretty much everyone (Matt and Lily stayed back to get groceries for New Years' Eve) and hit the slopes for some cross country skiing.  It started out foggy but was a beautiful day by the end! Ellie was a real trooper and did a few kilometers of trails!

Teck Okanagan Cup in Revelstoke

Today was Sam first ski race with the Larch Hills Ski team at the Teck Okanagan Cup in Revelstoke.  It was a bit crazy, as the conditions made it hard to judge which waxes to use, but Sam had a great time and finished the 1.5km classic time trial in just over 7 minutes.
