Cec's cabin

Today we made it up to Cec's cabin with Sam and Max.  It is a 17 km round trip, and we stoppes to check out a couple of igloos the ski team built along the way.  By the time we got back, it was dumping dowm snow!

Lac Le Jeune

This weekend we stayed at Lac Le Jeune Wilderness resort during the BC Cup event.  It was a great choice for us, as it was a few minutes from the races, but also had a games room, pool, hot tub, and a great outdoor rink area on the lake!  The kids loved skating out there.  This morning we got up and were on the ice before breakfast, and then back again afterwards!  After we checked out from the hotel, we headed back to Stake Lake for a Family Day ski.  The boys showed us the courses they skied - Sam really had to climb some serious hills in his 2.5 km course...

BC Cup #2 - Stake Lake

This weekend was BC Cup #2 in Kamloops (Stake Lake).  The Saturday event was an interval start freestyle race, where each kid heads out every 15s, and races against the clock for a best time.  Sunday was a Classic mass start race.  Katy and Ian both did 0.9km courses, Max a 1.5km, and Sam a 2.5km.  Sam's course was quite hilly!  The kids did great - with Max earning first place boys days in his age group.  Sam placed 10th on Saturday, and moved up to 7th on the Sunday with a really strong race for him!  After the races we hit the jump/terrain park!

Max and Sam had a great weekend at Telemark, coming in 1st and 4th in their age groups!  Thanks to AJ for taking them up and taking the photo!
