Darcy and I were talking about Sam's shoes for grade 1 and figured laces could be OK if he could learn to tie his shoes by Thursday. Who knows how long it takes to tie shoes? Apparently only a few minutes if the time is right! Note the length of his pyjamas - we're in need of a lot of new clothes for Sam this fall as he grows like a weed...

Karns are back in town
Matt and Ali returned from Hawaii tonight, so we had dinner over at their place. Katy looked super cute waiting at the car, and I love the picture of Max with the sky behind him, and Katy and Henry drinking from the fountain at South Glenmore Park!

Sammy is six !!!

It was a little crazy herding all the kids through the trails, but we made it and had a delicious dinosaur cake prepared by Darcy! Grandma C takes five
Grandma C and Calla took five of the kids over to Heritage Park today for some fun. Great to have the grandparents in town around birthdays!

Heritage Park Hootenanny!
We aren't totally sure what it means, but Heritage Park had a Hootenanny today! (according to Wikipedia it meant a bunch of things, including 'party') There was mini-golf, a petting zoo, face painting, a colouring contest and more... Grandma and I took the four kids over for the morning, ate lunch in a nice treed spot overlooking the reservoir, and then returned home. Ali and Matt left Ro and Lily as they headed out to Hawaii, and I took the four older kids to Riley Park. Claire and Eric and the gang showed up for dinner, so it was an all Wickett Saturday!
