Ian twirls up a storm

I'm impressed at Ian's ability to twirl spaghetti with his left hand :)  He seems so little, yet so advanced.  Yesterday he got a birthday card from the bank in Salmon Arm.  Darcy asked him why he thought they would send him a card and he answered "Its about money!".  Sure enough, they sent him $2 for his birthday...

Max at gymnastics

Here are a couple of shots at Max's gymnastics parent viewing day.  He is quite the little cartwheeler and handstander...

We all shout for ice cream!

The kids sure do like ice cream :)  At least Sam has finally gotten onto things like apple crisp and pie !

Ready for the water...

I'm not sure why, but the kids all decided they needed to be in goggles today :)

First game of the year for Max

With Sam in Portland with Darcy, Max played his first Ringette game on his own.  It was fun, though the rink was a little cold for the little spectators :)

Northern Japan

Today we took a drive up to the Northern end of the main Island.  The weather was sunny at times, ending in snow!  The waves and wind were pretty intense when we reached the ocean, and made it pretty obvious why the area has a lot of wind power.

Misawa, Japan

I haven't had much time for photos in my first week over here in Misawa, but here is the view from my hotel room...  One of the things I think we all love when visiting a foreign country is to chuckle at funny translations.  In my hotel room tonight I had a message from the cleaning person, Nakazawa:

How was your day?  I hope your had a nice one.  I cleaned up your room.  But I have kept your stuff.  When you went out.

I have to admit to doing a quick double check that I still had my socks and underwear :)

More fun than a mud puddle

The only thing more fun that a mud puddle is a big gigantic pile of dirt!  The kids (all four) have taken to sliding down the giant pile of dirt we now have behind the house...

All about food

I don't know why we complain about Ian not eating. You just have to give him ice cream!  Same goes for Katy with cookies :)
