This was the second time this year that the older two boys tried snowboarding, and they really seem to love it. We went up with Ro, Lily and Matt, and after a super long rental line, and a partially missed lesson, we managed to get out skiing. They eventually offered us an afternoon lesson to make up for the morning, but Sam and Max decided to just go ski. Lily and Ro did the extra lesson, and then it got cut short after one of the other kids in the group broke a leg!

Merry Christmas!
Christmas morning started early, but we waited to open presents after breakfast with Ian before he headed off to Church to play the organ. Ian wore his Messi jersey for three days after putting it on!

Christmas Eve
This year Grandma and Grandpa Calkins, and Great-Grandpa Harold came for Christmas. They managed to find a brief gap in the heavy snow we have been getting and made it to our house with no major problems. Christmas baking
Sam had to bake cookies for a girl in his class, so here he is rolling out the cookie dough and cutting them out. Katy did some too!
Foosball
Now that we have sold our rental property, we've committed to the log house :) One step was getting Ian a Foosball table for his birthday, and it has been a hit so far. We managed to find a new one on a buy and sell that someone had won and didn't want, so it was reasonably cheap but it works great. Grandma and Grandpa assembled it, and after my review of the players finished it off. As soon as I tried it I realized that all the players except the goalies were wrong! So much for my review...
Our Oompa-Loompa for the holiday perforamance
Max was one of the Oompa-Loompa's in today's Charlie and Chocolate Factory performance at Bastion. He was super cute, though didn't get much time on stage!

Happy Birthday Ian!
Ian had a nice party with most of his classmates and other friends at the DAC tonight, with pizza and a bear cake. He seemed pretty happy with his cake!

Christmas Lights
We now have some snow to go with our new lights. We replaced our perimeter lights with red and green bulbs, put the yellow lights and garland on the stair railings, and added the laser light show on the trees. Looks very pretty!
