He rolls!

Yay!  Ian rolled over for the first time tonight!  I had him on the floor after his bath - on his belly for some tummy time.  To my surprise he rolled over back onto his back :)  He is surprisingly good at holding his head up, too, given the lack of time we've spent on it with him.  It is amazing how much time we spent with Sam, and how each baby gets less and less attention on this types of things - ha!

Fun in the park

Today was the last day in Salmon Arm before we hit the road and headed home.  While Darcy packed up, Westlee and I took the three older kids down to Kingsman park for a quick play.  Katy was all smiles, and seemed to really enjoy the park.  Same for Max, and Sam loved playing soccer with his older 'cousin' as usual...  Rain ended the playing a bit early, but we had fun enjoying an early Spring compared to what it has been in Calgary lately.

Happy Easter 2011!

This year we once again spent Easter in Salmon Arm with Lynne and Ian.  The kids loved the Easter Egg hunt, as usual, and then we followed up breakfast with a trip to Ian's church to hear him play the organ for the service.

Daniel turns 4, surprise birthday present

Here a couple of shots from Daniel's birthday today.  He got the surprise present of a new sister!  I'll put up some photos and more inforamtion once Dawn and Ryan have a chance to spread the news...  Love the awesome pirate ship cake, courtesy Darcy!  It is missing the rear flag after it caught fire from the birthday candles!!!  The kids loved that :)

Nice to be home

After a week away in New York, it is great to see the kids again.  Dawn went into the hospital last night, but she's back home playing the waiting game again...still no baby!

I spent the last week in New York for work, but managed to get a few shots around town the first night, and in the cab driving to the airport.  The first is grand central terminal, 2nd is my hotel (pleasantly free of bedbugs), the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Manhattan bridge...

Finally, the snow has cleared enough for the kids to bike around the nieghborhood again!  Katy was out on the 'motorbike', while Max, Sam and Andrew raised their seats and headed out on bikes.  Max took about two blocks before he was back peddling again.

As if a birthday wasn't enough, Max was VIP at pre-school today as well!  I was the helper, so we have some photos of the action...  All the kids were good today, everyone seemed to be playing really well.

Max turned four today!  Hard to believe we already have two kids over four years old...  Max had a good day.  We asked what he wanted for meals and he wanted a hot dog for breakfast, pancakes for lunch and pizza for dinner.  We did actually give him a hot dog for breakfast, but with other food :)  The Moms took them to Let's Play for a few hours, and then at 3:00 we had presents and cake.  Everyone stuck around for dinner, and the night ended with everyone worn out, as usual.  A fun day for Max!  His smile shows how much he liked his rocket ship cake, as well as the skateboard park, bird house and boats he received today.  Thanks for all the calls and singing, everyone.
