Snow? It is March 22!
So, here is how things looked yesterday morning. Nary a snowflake in sight... They were calling for 15cm so we cleaned up the yard, removed some ice, and painted inside in the evening. I took the boys to Southland for some watersliding after dinner with Ryan, and they were nestled under covers before 9pm.
This is how things looked by 10 this morning! The weatherman finally delivered on his promise (too bad they didn't predict warm weather and sun!).

...in sickness and in health

I guess this must be the 'in sickness' part - both Darcy and Max are sick these days, and now I'm starting to feel a tickle in my throat... At least Max and Sam can manage some smiles from time to time! The boys are bringing out the hockey sticks a lot these days. Sam passes to me, I pass to Max, and back. Tonight Sam got into some stickhandling and was seriously laughing as I tried to get the puck from him :)

Max is getting bigger
Well, Max learned two new tricks in the first day of me returning from Japan. Darcy went grocery shopping while I stayed home with Sam and Max (napping). Sam and I were playing downstairs while Max napped. I heard Darcy come home (so I thought) and then heard her say something about Max and then closed the door. Claire was also coming over before heading back to Edmonton so I assumed she had gone next door after getting Max up. When I came upstairs my suspicion was confirmed with Max playing on the stair.
Then I got another message that I didn't get to in time - Darcy was calling from Allie's saying it was about time I got up Max if he wasn't still asleep! I guess Max can now get out of his crib AND open doors! We had been talking about Max going into his big bed soon so the room is free for the new baby in April - this made up our minds. Last night we put both boys to bed in 'Sam's room - now Max and Sam's room. We didn't hear a peep!
Here is Max talking about what a big boy he is, and sleeping in his big bed:

It was nice to see Nolan and Molly - both a couple of cuties!

Cape Zanpa / Bolo Point
Yesterday (Sunday) we got up early and headed out to Cape Zanpa, otherwise known as Bolo Point. It was a grey, overcast day - not the best for pictures. I did manage to capture some shots of the area, though.

Cape Zanpa is famous for the large lighthouse - which I've made look rather small here. There are high cliffs which are apparently quite dangerous according to the signs: "Lives have been lost...".
After visiting the lighthouse and walking along the cliffs looking down at the beach we headed over to a different spot and went in a couple of stores. All in all a couple of hour diversion after a solid week of work. It was back at it by 11am... Lots to do but also going well. I had some more sushi last night at Yoshi Hachi which was quite good. Everyone seems to love the place.
