Storm coming

We went over to AJ and Carmen's for dinner tonight, and had a nice view of a storm coming in from the North...

White Lake Park

Today we went to the John Evdokimoff Bike Skills Park near White Lake.  It was still a bit muddy and had some snow, so some parts were tough to enjoy fully, but the kids still had lots of fun.  We went with Sandra and the three kids and the kids basically split into boys and girls.  The boys did the skills features and tried some jumps, while the girls were mountain goats and climbed around the hills surrounding the park.  Sandra was the exception, proving to us that it was possible to ride the log and make it over the teeter-totter! Ian proved that you can lose your shoes in mud...  We're looking forward to heading back in the summer sun!

Ian arrived at the skateboard park today to a group of fans, or so it seems when all the young boys shouted 'Epic' when he pulled out his mini-skateboard.  He had a crowd watching him go down this little slope.  He made it down a few times, and also had a few tumbles.  Apparently I'm not nearly as stressed about my kids getting hurt as I was able hurting myself as a child!

Skateboard park

 The kids were begging all week to hit the skateboard park, and Friday I had a planned day off work that coincided with some beautiful sunny weather in Victoria.  Still a little chilly - but the boys enjoyed it

Out in Victoria

The kids in front of the Parliament buildings in the capital!  We went downtown to get backpacks for school, then home for a snack, then over to Esquimalt Pool to play with Aubrey, and finally to the IMAX to see the Penguin movie...

Sunday in Victoria

It was a typical Spring day on the coast - mild but wet.  We took the kids downtown to get some backpacks, and then returned to the house and played a little hockey!
