Pirate Loppet!

Arrrrrrrr!  It be time for the Pirate Loppet!  Sam, Max and Katy didn't get dressed up, but they skied harrrrrd!  There were over 400 kids from all the local school there, grades 1-8!  The three kids did 5km each...

Midgets Championship at Larch Hills [Video]

This weekend was the Midget's up at Larch Hills.  Sam is our only child that is between 9-12, so Max and I took him up and cheered him on!  The King's Court races are fun: there is an interval start timed run (300m) to get an initial start order, then 5 or 6 kids race in a heat.  They reshuffle, and race two more times to determine the winner.  It is fun, the races take about 1 minute, and all the kids get to race 3 times...

BC Cup #1

This weekend was the first BC Cup of the year, at Sovereign Lake (Vernon).  Saturday was a bit crazy as they mixed up the heats and results, but Max placed 2nd!  Sunday was the timed (interval) skate ski for Sam and Max.  Max placed 2nd and Sam 10th.

New Years Day dinner

Not sure if it was the smartest way to start the year, but the kids loved lighting the candles on the table for New Years' dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Wickett's house.
