Hallowe'en

Once again, we headed over to Marta's for dinner, trick-or-treating and a warm fire.  Katy was a mime this year, Ian was a pirate by day and Nina by night, and Sam did Santa again...

Kylo Ren

I spent a little more time than I probably should have, but Max and I were really happy with the end result.  I like to make a costume rather than buy it, especially if it involves cardboard and spray paint!  Luckily, Grandma Wickett happened to have a cloak with hood for just such an occasion.

Kids ride

Sunday afternoon we took a big group of kids halfway down the trails, and then continued on with Sam, Max and Nolan.  The colors were gorgeous and a dry year meant the trails weren't muddy.

Thanksgiving Family Photo

Canyon Creek Trail

On Monday morning Claire, Eric, Darcy and I got up early and drove up to the top of LSD and then rode down along the Canyon Creek to the Moonraker Trails parking lot.  The Canyon Trail is a crazy trail, and gets really close to a super huge drop off.  We all had to walk down that short section!

Selfies

Since selfies are all the rage these days, Darcy and Ali decided to get their first selfie together, as a joke.  Ian then proceeded to photobomb the girls' group shot!  LOL

Thanksgiving Dinner

As usual, we cooked the turkey on Saturday, so we could all enjoy the Turkey the next two days at Kicking Horse.  Grace, Josie and Kierra came up for dinner and the night as well, and we ended with a number of games of pool and some dancing!

Portraits

Just to play around, I brought up some lights and took photos of most of us, including Emma!

Family Hike along the Blaeberry River

To work off our Thanksgiving dinner we set out on a family hike along the Blaeberry River.  If we had started sooner, this would be titled the Thompson Falls hike, but we didn't end up making it that far and figured we'd run out of light if we kept going.  Instead, we set up our family photo and enjoyed the river for a few minutes and then headed back.  Overall, we hiked for a couple of hours.
