Happy Halloween!

This year we have a Batman, Vampire, Ladybug-Butterfly and a Lion.  Ian wasn't in his costume at breakfast, so I've just got the face :)  It occurred to me that we have the perfect mix of boys and girls to do the Wizard of Oz next year!  Lynne made the capes and the Batman Cowl, and we made the batman belt and logo out of felt - nothing beats homemade costumes...

Haney Heritage Spooktacular

It was a night of fun at the Haney Heritage Village.  They had a graveyard, spooky story walk, book reading, crafts, and a big bonfire.  The full moon was fun too :)

Grandma and Grandpa Calkins are here on their way through to Calgary so we headed out for a family hike this morning.  This looks somewhat remote, but is only one house up from Ian and Lynne's!

Swan Lake

We met up with Scott and Jack this afternoon for a walk around Swan Lake.  Katy loved the reptiles and amphibians!

There was a lot of rain, but the kids had a good time watching the fish and eating popcorn!

Dinner

 Lee-Ann, William and Jack came over for dinner.  Ian and William passed the ball back and forth down the hall :)

Ride in the rain

Today we hiked along the trails around Little Mountain while the two older boys biked.  It was fun, though Katy and Ian did more 'riding' on our backs than we might have liked :)  Still - fresh air is always nice to breath in!  Fall has definitely arrived in the Shuswap...
