For those with iPhones and iPads try this:

Katy rides a two wheeler!

I took the kids down to Blackburn part and brought along a wrench.  Turns out Katy was just waiting to be unleashed!

Full day

Today started out with the setup of a bike jump for the boys to get them out of the house.  Then Darlene, Ben and George (the dog) arrived for a quick stop on their way through to Calgary.  Darcy then went over to help Grace at her house while we played at the park with Gabriella and Martha, before heading home to fix up and clean out the shed, paint the front door and clean up the back yard furniture.  After dinner, we took the kids swimming and then for ice cream before it was lights out.  We were treated to an incredible rainbow up high in the sky mid-afternoon as well !

The kids' first triathlon!

Sam and Max did their first Try-it-Tri triathlon today in Salmon Arm!  They both did 2 lengths in the pool, 1km on the bike and 500m of running.  Sam finished 2nd for the 7 and under kids in 10:46 and Max finished in under 15 minutes!  Great job, kids!

Building a fire with Grandpa

The pressure was on Grandpa Ian to build a fire, and get it burning on the first try - and teach the kids the fundamentals of fire building :)

Last morning...

This morning we borrowed two bikes and took the two boys on a bike ride around Johnson Lake.  The owners of the resort say it is about 14km, and the boy did great.  After, grandma and grandpa Wickett took them on a motorboat ride for an hour while Darcy and I packed up the cabin...  Another lovely day!

Beautiful lakes, fun day

The kids had a great time playing on the little lake, and then once Ian was down we took the three older kids on a motorboat ride to explore the big lake.  The water was just amazing - super clear and a pure turquoise from the Limestone.  The smaller lake was more of an emerald green.  Gorgeous!
