South Canoe mountain bike ride

Except for the mosquitoes, Max loved his first real mountain bike ride out at South Canoe.  Sam, Sarah, Mike and I took them on a nice climb followed by a fast and bumpy downhill (Flying Nun)!

Summer is just around the corner!

It is still May, but it feels like summer!  A hot day, and a cool lake made for a nice afternoon on Shuswap Lake.  The water was warm enough for a nice swim even when the sun was behind some clouds...

Sockeyes Fun Meet

I had to work Friday night, but caught the end of the first meet of the year.  The club does a fun meet where everyone gets to try out the concept of a meet without all of the craziness that results when 10 teams get together on a weekend! Afterwards we had pizza, creamsicles and some iced tea...

Farewell to uncle Jim

This weekend was my grandma Viola's brother Jim's memorial in Edmonton.  It was nice to hear the stories and see Ella and the girls, along with everyone else.

Darcy and the boys came to town Friday (for the funeral in Edmonton) so we moved over to say with Claire and the kids since Ali and Matt were headed out of town to Salmon Arm.  We had some tasty treats for breakfast...

With work bringing me to Calgary I was in town for Matt's birthday...and some ice cream cake!

Max / Thor

When I'm left with the kids for a day, I tend to like to work on some sort of photo project.  Today I helped them make Thor hammers out of lego, so this was the obvious conclusion!
