Molly steals the show
Ian is one happy little camper, but Molly stole the show by learning how to ride a bike! She started out with some pushes, then got to riding without help, then starting on her own!
Johston Canyon
Day 3 started off with a jump, and then we were off to Johnston Canyon. It was lovely and a great hike for the kids, but extremely busy! We almost lost Max over the edge as he stepped where there was a hole next to the railing, but thanks to a well place post and Josephine he was back on his feet!
Claire, Eric, the three kids and Josephine and Westlee had joined us by now, so along with Eric's friends we were a pretty huge group!

Reading!
Sam started reading when we were on the Ferry to Victoria, and has been picking away at a bunch of Curious George books ever since. Fun to see him working at it!

First bee sting
He looks pretty chipper here, but Sam suffered his first pair of stings yesterday - presumably a wasp since he was repeatedly stung. Nothing stings like a bee sting!

Next boy band cover photo
If the two older Calkins and Ross boys ever form a band, we'll be sure to pull this photo out of the archive for the cover ! Hmmm - mix 'ROss' and 'CalKINS', do you get the 'Rockins' ?
Go Vipers Go
While we aren't exactly huge Vipers fans, it was hard not to cheer them on today, with an 18-9 victory over the Lake County Fielders. Despite the intense looks of concentration in these photos, the boys seemed to have a pretty good time :)
