Happy New Years'! We had Matt and the kids plus the Wortons over for an early ring in of the New Year.  Plus chocolate fondue!!

Christmas Dinner & Ian's Birthday

Christmas dinner is always a combined affair with Ian's birthday. This year we had the Hyndman's, Karns, four grandparent, great grandpa Harold and Martha/David/Westlee.  Quite a house full!  After dinner Ian opened his birthday presents and gave each of the kids a try on the bassoon - one we rented for him as he's wanted to try one...

White Christmas?

Today Mike and I took the kids and dogs a walk at Little Mtn while our wives took care of some Christmas items...  Likes like a white Chirstmas after all!

Picking a tree

Yesterday we went to Jesperson's and picked out a tree.  We found several choices, and then put it to a vote.  It was

5-0!

 That made the decision easy!!

Tree time!

Today we brought up the tree and decorated it!  We also spent the afternoon sledding, then had dinner with Lynne and Ian followed by the Miracle On 31st Street.  Max's big confusion about the movie was that he didn't know why the boy asked Santa for a fire engine - he didn't realize that was a fire truck :)

Sam and Max's Recital

Sam, Max and Cole all did a few Christmas pieces today at the Shuswap Lodge, along with a several others who take lessons from their piano teach Jen Dyck.  They all did well!

This year we have all four kids in one school, and has to attend all three Christmas concerts!

Wizard of Oz!

Sam's grade and some of the other older ones did a production of The Wizard of Oz!  Sam had a small role as a munchkin :)
