New Guitar

Last year everyone went together and got me a gift certificate for Acorn Music to get a guitar.  I decided to start taking lessons first, and get a bit of a handle on the guitar, compared to the Ukulele I used to play.  Today I finally went down and picked up a guitar!  It is nice having a full size guitar - it is much nicer to hold than my travel guitar...

Last swim of the summer?

While Harold, Maureen and Trev were out for Sam's birthday, we figured we'd hit Herald Park for a swim. The water was pretty low, so no diving off the dock, but a nice way to cool off on a warm day...

Lily loses her first tooth!

Lily lost her first tooth tonight, and Sam also lost one of his little bottom teeth!

Provincial Golds!

Sam was fortunate enough to be part of the Div 1 relay team for the Sockeyes this year.  He worked really hard from the get go, and kept improving every swim meet he did.  He ended up on two relay teams this year at the Provincials, and both won the finals this year in Coquitlam!  We are so proud of him for working hard, and helping his team make it happen!

Roots & Blues 2013

Martha had an extra adult ticket, and kids are free so I took Sam, Ro and Max to the Roots & Blues event this afternoon.  They got off to a slow start (Rogan wanted to watch the roadies setup the speakers on the main stage) but after some ice cream and water the boys started to get into the spirit.  Rogan and Sam started off on the climbing wall while Vazzy brought out the bagpipes.  By the time Oh! Ogopogo! got onto the stage Max was up there too.  All three of them managed to get to the top by the end of the day.  We also went to see a Beat Box guy, Felix Zenger, who was awesome.

Eating healthy while camping

Who says you can't have healthy, fresh food when camping???  We were treated to some delicious burritos tonight!

Herald Park / Margaret Falls

 We've been there all week, but I finally made it up to the falls with Max yesterday.  Always a beautiful hike!
