Bike Day at Pre-school

Today was Max's VIP day, as well as bike day.  I went as the 2nd helper and naturally took some photos :)  I'll be putting together a movie soon...

Sam's soccer!

I took Max and Katy to Sam's soccer game tonight for a quick play at the park.  It was right beside Matt's house, so pretty handy.  No shots of the soccer, but here are a few of Max and Katy having fun!

Our weekend's efforts

Thanks to Ryan and Chris, Darcy and I were able to get our patio built by the end of the weekend !  We ended Sunday with a friendly barbecue on the new deck.  It worked out really well, and not only do we have the patio furniture off the lawn, we have shade for dinner...

Today was a fun day, starting out with a bike over the South Glenmore Park with Chris and the kids, followed by a few hours of screwing down deck boards.  For some reason I seemed to get a lot of photos of Katy today, and despite her mood I seemed to get a number of happy shots.

Bikes, bikes, bikes...

Luckily the weather cooperated for a pretty good day.  We started off at Southland and the waterslides, lunch, and then over to Ali and Matt's.  Once Darcy, Ali and Diane headed off we planted a tree at Matt's, broke down the Gazebo and then took the kids across the street to ride thier bikes.  They zipped around for a while (video at the bottom):

Another size up...

The time has come for yet another bigger sized bike.  Max is really too big for Sam's original mini bike, and Sam is growing out of the blue bike as well.  We took a look around and managed to find a nice aluminum bike with no shocks (why a 5 year old needs shocks with .5" of travel is beyond me!).  It has loks of flashy colors, while maintaining a gender neutrality that should come in handy...  I haven't heard of Opus bikes, but it makes me a little happy that it is a Canadian company and that we got it at a small dealer in Calgary...

Dinner with the Rosses

We had the Ross family (including Grandpa Robinson) over for dinner tonight, and I took some shots of the kids.  Florence and Ian were cute in the tub, and poor Henry added to the cuts on his forehead when he smashed his head down onto the slide when he bent over to pick up some more rocks...  The kids (and parents!) are loving the weather and playing outdoors.

Windy day

It is gorgeous out today, but super windy.  The wind is bringing a 'nice' chill with it.  That didn't stop Daniel and Max from climbing up to the top of the tower in shorts with no shoes!

New playhouse

Darcy picked up a new playhouse for the kids while I was away on a work trip.  Ryan and I and Matt had "fun" assembling it...  The kids seems to really like it - except when it is hailing like it is in this picture!

Katy turns two

The party was delayed so I could be home, and all the grandparents could make it, and Katy's party was a big one indeed!  Just the sheer number of kids we have now makes it a big crowd.  Too bad Auntie Ali had to work :(  Katy loved opening presents - and when Max was helping she was sure to throw in a 'THAT'S MINE' after each one was opened just in case there was any confusion!
