Happy Birthday Laurel!

I had the day off yesterday after a light flight back from Ottawa, so I got to take some photos and enjoy the cupcake along with Laurel and the gang.  Yum!

Family dinner

With Martha and Westlee out we had a big family dinner.  I got a couple of shots of Nolan and Ellie playing in the yard while the other kids were inside... 

Walk to South Glenmore Park

Martha and I took the three oldest kids for a walk around the reservoir to South Glenmore Park.  It was a bit cold, and Katy didn't ride the whole way, but otherwise it was a pleasant stroll...

Playing soccer in the back yard

It was a little bit on the cool side, but the kids had fun playing soccer in the backyard.  The ground is a little muddy these days, but it is always fun to see the kids start to pull out the summer sports equipment.  I took Ian and the boys to get the soccer ball to replace their flat one, and all through the store Ian kept yelling 'Ball!'.

 

Sold !!!

We listed our house 9 days ago on Thursday and three days later we had the house conditionally sold.  Today we received confirmation that our house is officially sold, conditions removed...  Luckily we have a possession date in the summer so we have time to finish school and get the shack in Salmon Arm ready !  It couldn't have worked out better from a timeline perspective...

We've been talking about making the move to Salmon Arm for a long time now (since before we bought the house there in 1997!) so this is a next step in our lives that we are excited to see finally unfold.  Naturally we will miss our family and friends in Calgary, but we'll find ways to keep in touch and spend time together...

Max VIP and skating

I was back early from PEI (working on the Confederation Bridge) so it worked out that I could head to pre-school with Max for the afternoon.  I grabbed a few photos and then we headed over to the rink to skate.  I really love playing hockey with the kids - it is so great to have the outdoor rinks in Calgary.

Trips, trips, trips

February and March are quite the travel months for me this year, leaving Darcy with quite the kid months.  For some reason I finally ended up with three trips in Canada this month - starting with Vancouver...

Times change, but stay the same
